Longhorn Singers

Longhorn Singers was founded in 1958 and pioneered by the late Dr. Morris Beachy. Now, over half a century later, the group has evolved into who we are today: the premier show choir of The University of Texas at Austin. We are honored to represent this university with our shared passion for music.
As an elite performing ensemble consisting of 36 undergraduate students, Longhorn Singers performs around the UT campus, the city of Austin, its surrounding suburbs, and all around Dallas during the famous Red River Rivalry Weekend spreading Texas cheer for all to hear! Past performances include the Distinguished Alumni Awards, Trail of Lights, Texas Exes events, Songs of the Season, President Fenves' birthday, and many more.
The majority of the ensemble's work culminates in two main-stage productions, one each semester, filled with energetic, choreographed group numbers from all genres of music. To this day, we still value the group's initial goals of musicianship, tradition, and fun!

Several years ago my high school choir sang this song on Remembrance Day, and I've always wished that I could hear that performance again. I know that can't happen exactly as I'd remembered it, but your rendition is amazingly close to it and is beautiful in its own right. Kudos to these singers; they did an absolutely amazing job!
